Blue Your Friends Volkswagen
VW Belgium asked us to create an online campaign for their BlueMotion technology. The objectives? Highlight 2 important facts about Bluemotion: it's not only the most efficient green technology; it's also the least expensive.
We don't know why, but it's always a challenge to avoid clichés or responsible speech while creating a "green" campaign. So we decided to work with BWAT on a simple, but convincing idea: we're going to demonstrate how much your friends pollute and how much they cost you.

Discover the impact of your Facebook friends on this planet and your wallet. Did you know that a human emits 400gr CO2, just by breathing? And that’s only the start! Every time your friend uses Facebook, the amount of CO2 increases. You would be surprised! And it doesn’t stop there; your friends have a very negative effect on your finances as well. Think about it! (Or just watch the 3D movie. That’s less of an effort.)
We guarantee you all that the mathematics and numbers we use in the movie are correct. Or at least most of them… Anyway, some interesting facts can be found here. To illustrate these figures, we intensively used 3D characters. We made them nice and simple, so people can identify with them, and we deliberately gave them a very "cute" look. (Yes, that's a girl-oriented strategy - we know who rules the world!)
Honestly, creating this campaign involved tons of working hours, rendering, sound design, stress… We worked 24/7 to finish this movie before the deadline. It's the first time we've created such a long 3D animation within such a short delay. Furthermore, we didn’t have any video shooting! And you know what? We loved it, and we’d happily do it again.
